Dark under eye circles. A problem that affects 90% of women and can be a result of anything from genetics and diet to sleep and stress. While make-up is an absolute God send in disguising these annoying shadows, it’s also important to take care of the skin underneath.
With just a few helpful tips that I’ve tried and tested, you could not just improve the appearance of the darkness but also prevent them from getting worse.
Identify what in your lifestyle could be causing this
As mentioned previously, there are many factors that can lead to under eye darkness. Lack of sleep, allergies and iron deficiency are amongst the most common so ensuring you get at least 8 hours of rest, taking antihistamines and iron supplements are just some ways that can make improvements.
Dehydrated skin shows the signs of tiredness far worse than if it was to be nourished correctly. Flushing out the toxins from drinking plenty of fluids throughout the day will instantly improve the appearance of the skin not just around the eyes but all over the body. I aim to drink about 1.5 – 2 litres a day which is the recommended amount for women to replace the fluid we lose throughout the day.
In a nutshell, it’s the simple but effective things that are all it takes. The smallest of changes that make the biggest of differences in banishing those panda eyes for good!
