How to create a half up, top knot bun with CURLS Caviar Curl Elixir

Founded by Mahisha Dillinger, haircare brand CURLS has been making waves across the pond with naturalistas and celebrities alike since launching in 2002. Halle Berry, Alicia Keys and Nia Long are just a few famous fans of the cult curl products.

From CURLS’ beginnings founder Mahisha has been determined to provide quality products which really deliver. Amongst a strong portfolio of cleansing and styling products is the CURLS Caviar Curl Elixir, ideal to add a little sparkle to the festivities this season.

This product is formulated with champagne grape, silk amino acids and caviar extracts to add sheen to waves, coils and kinks. It’s the remedy to a dull and lackluster mane. Simply apply sparingly to damp hair after adding any leave-ins – a little goes a long way.

In this step by step tutorial, I’m going to show you how to create a half up top knot bun with this holiday season hair care, must-have:

Step 1 – For a simple half up, top knot bun style smooth, the Caviar Curl Elixir onto strands following your usual leave-ins

Step 2 – Air dry hair or diffuse with a blowdryer on a low haeat setting.

Step 3 – For a sleeker finish, apply gel to the edges of your hairline and work the product in either with a soft brush or your palms before parting your hair in half from ear to ear.

Step 4 – Tie the top half of your hair into a high ponytail and wrap the ponytail around the base to make a bun. Use a few bobby pins if needed to tuck in loose hairs and give the bun more shape.

Step 5 – Finish by applying a little extra of the Caviar Curl Elixir to the bottom half of your hair, focusing on the ends.

Bonus Tip: Massaging a little into the scalp can help promote hair growth too!

The CURLS Caviar Curl Elixir makes creating shine in naturally dull hair easy for all hair types and you can try it for yourself, exclusively with this month’s GlowwBox!
